Just worked on a new movie called "Outliving Emily" which follows a husband and wife through their life together. Cool thing about the plot is that it jumps from each decade of their lives (20s, 30s, 40s, etc) and the actors change every decade as well.  Occasionally, they even change gender and ethnicity.  My scene takes place in the 1960s (thus the argyle vest) and is with Kal Penn who was super friendly and fun to work with.  Check it out!  

I had a great time workshopping a new play by Christopher Chen called "You Mean To Do Me No Harm" directed by Oliver Butler at the Vineyard Theatre.  Really interesting play that examines the subtle race relations between two mixed race couples, Caucasian female and Asian male and vice versa.    

I was so honored to receive the Lilah Kan Red Socks Award.  It honors an Asian American artist working in the New York City theatrical community and I was nominated by Mia Katigbak of NAATCO (National Asian American Theatre Co.).  This year's award honored two other artists as well, Orlando Pabotoy and Marina Celander. Congrats and thanks to all involved!    

I had the good fortune of being one of the presenters at The Play Company's benefit gala, Cabaret Gourmet 2014.  It was a great night with great food for a great company.  If you would like to support the company, please visit www.playco.org.    

Not to be cheesy, but the Opening Night of Kung Fu was magical.  We had a kick*ss show with a tremendously generous audience followed by lots of free wine and food.  On top of all that, I had the incredible honor of meeting some of Bruce Lee's family; Linda (wife), Shannon (daughter) and Wren (granddaughter).  

One of my characters, Toshi, is based on Bruce Lee's real life best friend, Taky Kimura.  Linda told me that she was going to Taky Kimura's 90th birthday party next week. Happy Birthday, Taky!  

I simply have no words to express the exhilarating experience I had as Associate Producer of NAATCO's critically acclaimed production of Clifford Odets' Awake and Sing!.  I'll just say that Stephen Fried's fearless direction, our cast's openhearted vulnerability, our design team's relentless attention to detail, our crew's tireless enthusiasm and hard work and Mia Katigbak's producing expertise made this production one that people will be talking about for years.  Thank you ALL for making this happen.    

This production was full of artistic boldness and creativity and it was due to Ed Iskandar's mad genius direction of Roland Schmilpfennig's intricate play and PlayCo's wise resourceful producing skills.  This was some serious high ART.  My daring cast mates taught me a thing or two about being audacious and courageous every night. Thanks, guys!
