ABOUT ME

I’m from New Jersey. Yes, the state that is the butt of many jokes but, seriously, it’s an awesome place: lovely towns, great schools, close to NYC, tons of malls, no sales tax. Did I mention, no sales tax? That being said, I reside in Brooklyn.
After doing numerous high school plays and musicals and getting through an awkward growth spurt, I attended NYU to study Acting. I made my Off-Broadway debut in Yoko Ono’s rock opera, “New York Rock”. And yes, Yoko is a genius and I got to go to the Dakota and stroke the keys of the white piano. I then made my feature film debut in “Hackers” opposite Angelina Jolie. And yes, Angelina is as beautiful in person as she is on screen.
After graduating from NYU and working many odd jobs (cater waiter, personal assistant, reservationist, etc), I decided to apply to grad school and was accepted into the Yale School of Drama. Upon graduation, I made my Broadway debut in “Thoroughly Modern Millie” as the lovable but shrewd Bun Foo. Since then, I continued to work Off-Broadway at Playwrights Horizon, Signature Theatre, Second Stage and many others. Some of my TV and Film credits include "Chicago Med", “Louie”, “Ugly Betty”, “Mercy”, “Law & Order: Criminal Intent”, Cubby (upcoming), Saturday Church (2017 Tribeca Film Festival), Margin Call, Sex and the City: The Movie.
I’m a founding member of Mr. Miyagi’s Theatre Company and co-creator of the critically acclaimed Off-Broadway show, “Sides: The Fear is Real…”. Additionally, I'm the Associate Producer of the OBIE award winning company, NAATCO (National Asian American Theatre Company), Lecturer in Theater at Princeton University and the recipient of the Lilah Kan Red Socks Award for outstanding contributions to the world of Asian American professional Theatre in New York City.
